It couldn't be simpler

The gimp wonders, in spite of having been a bit distracted lately with Gimp matters and a certain 'communist', about  some things I just can't get my head around.
For the life of me I can not understand why some people, who I previously thought were intelligent are so bound and deteremined to bring the whole country to the verge of ruin just because they are angry that their party has taken a direction they don't like. It reminds me of when I was in elementary school and the children of Democrats insulted the children of Republicans when they had no idea what was going on and it slipped their notice their parents were still on friendly terms. We finally outgrew that childish behaviour and realized that it's just politics, and friendship is ever so much more imortant. Ok, so we were on opposite sides of a line in our heads, not a heaven high barbed wire fence. That is exactly what this "I refuse to vote McCain because he's not conservative enough and he's taking the party in the wrong direction." Ok, that's all fine and well, but the issue is not what is best for the party, but what is best for the country. Calling people names and attacking their intelligence just because they disagree with that, and see the diffrence between the Party and the good of the country is as childish as we were back when. They have made their point about McCain perfectly clear. There's no need to stay at a third grade level and spend every waking hour trying to insult others to their way of thinking, which in mind is dead wrong. I do wish they would think abut the harm BO will be in a position to cause if elected. It is not about the party. It is about the country and if the difference isn't obvious, I guess some people here have a lot of thinking to do and need to get over themselves. It really is that smple
