The gimp wonders if it's possible that the bad weather and other 'natural' events in the U.S. are not the fault of global warming, but, rather an attempt by Someone Above to express His Divine displeasure with the left turn things are taking there?
Granted, there's no way to prove it, but I think it just might be the answer. I'm not saying that because of this everyone has to turn into believers. I do think, however that a return to minimal levels of morality is needed, not the liberal feel good kind, but, the good old right from wrong, good vs. evil kind.
Where did this come from? Well, the gimp wonders about all kinds of off the walls issues and has been mulling this one over in her admittedly damaged mind since the last war over here. Summer is usually unbearably hot over here, but the summer of '06 was strangely comfortable for the duration of the war with the hizzbullies. Immediately after the war it got incredibly hot and I predicted in A Gimp's View that we'd have a really bad winter; either not enough rain, or destructive weather. because of the actions of our leaders, which we brought upon ourselves by electing them. I am not happy to say that so far I have been right about that. Our fearless leader had another chance just this week to do the right things and of course didn't. The weather people have been going on and on about a rain system that is stalled in the Med for no reason they can think of. I think it's stalled there in the hope that Olmert, Barak and all their merry partners in crime will do the right thing. As they haven't and most likely won't, it will not surprise me in the least if that storm turns into something very nasty and causes lots of damage.
That's us. Now, for you.
I couldn't help but wonder if the fires, mud slides and other nasties that happened in California just might have been a Divine Warning to stop behaving so badly. Now, in the winter severe weather is hitting the rest of the country.
Maybe, just maybe, it's time to take a good hard look at things.
The gimp wonders, oh, does she ever wonder.
